NTT DoCoMo, Japanese mobile phone operator, will soon team up with McDonalds to offer electronic payments and special promotions for mobile users.”It gives both McDonald’s and DoCoMo the opportunity to track consumers and their eating habits. Cash is more likely to be used in small transactions. Electronic payments will allow user behaviour to be tracked and used for marketing purposes,” said Julie Ask, an analyst with research firm Jupiter to BBC NEWS

According to Officials in India , a train Blast on a Pakistan-bound train- the Samjhauta Express - was part of a service taking passengers from Delhi to Lahore in Pakistan, near Panipat, about 80km (50 miles) north of Delhi Killed at least 64 people
A spokesman for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said the explosions were probably an “act of terror”.

145,000 people are homeless after Torrential rain in Indonesia’s capital Jakarta.Many of the homeless have taken shelter in schools and mosques, while others refuse to leave their partially flooded homes.According to report the floods are said to be the worst in the city in five years and have already kill at least seven people.

suspected in Japan on Tuesday 27 Jan 2006 after 23
chickens were found dead at a farm in the southern of Japan.
Japan has confirmed only one human H5N1 infection, and no human deaths till today.”We found the dead birds today and are investigating whether the virus is present,results could take days.”
